Counseling Services
Counseling for Eating Disorders:
Individual Clients:
I work with children as young as 9 years old. Family involvement is required.
I have experience working with military members, men, older individuals (60+), and severe-and-enduring eating disorders (SEED).
I work with all genders and am LGBTQ+ aligned.
I am able to work with Trauma specific to how it relates to the eating disorder.
For pervasive or Complex Trauma, a specialized Trauma Therapist may be needed in conjunction with my services.
I would coordinate care with this clinician.
If you are not already working with a Registered Dietitian experienced with eating disorders, I can provide you with referrals.
Family or Couples Clients:
I understand the unique needs of families and couples supporting a loved one with an eating disorder.
This may include parents, siblings, partners, extended family and friends.
I provide extensive education to support persons involved in family therapy which would usually include the person with the eating disorder.
The family is not to blame, however, family dynamics need shifting and support so everyone can live a happy and healthy life.
For those who may have a loved one with an eating disorder who is not currently seeking treatment: I can provide education, support, and guidance on how to best take care of yourself while at the same time supporting your loved one towards recovery.
